This week we worked on finding the important events to tell a concise version of a book with a beginning, middle, and end. We also worked on the relationship between adding and subtracting with fact families. We learned about many classifications of animals and their life cycles, and we worked on our small moment stories. We had our Curriculum Night On Thursday. I was thrilled to see those that came. If you couldn't make it, you will get your papers in your Monday folder, and our slideshow is on the Parent Information page of the website. Mrs. Smith is making butterflies with the kids for a big project for our Inquiry Unit in art. The kids learned a great Spanish song with Mr. George (video and pictures below). We also had time for a few brain breaks with the videos below as well. We try to have fun all day long, but sometimes you just have to get your silly on! Remember to check the back of your Monday folder and sign your child's weekly comments from me please. If you want to add to your home library, I sent home a Scholastic Flier with great and CHEAP books for your child in the folder as well. You can order online with the link on my homepage. For every book you buy, the classroom gets a book too!
