What an exciting day yesterday at Farmington Woods! We had the amazing Junior Achievement come to our class and do a wonderful unit on community. They did a wonderful presentation and activity enriching our government jobs and community "How do we organize ourselves" unit! Due to that wonderful presentation, we did not get to the math lesson; therefore, I did not give homework. The kids were super excited about that! Then due to wonderful lunch scores, we earned a music Friday lunch in the cafeteria! They rocked out while eating lunch to some great music with our DJ Mr. Beamish! Finally we had an afternoon of assessments and reading fun talking about how pictures can help enrich our reading, or tell a story of their own. We read a Bushy Mustache story without pictures and got a different story than we did when we looked at the pictures. What a day! You can check out the Junior Achievement Facebook Page to see some pictures that they took during their presentation. Here are a few pictures that I took.. Happy Weekending!
